Recommended Procedures to handle any issue with timeouts or other unexpected response from GG booking insert method: 1. Run booking insert as long as possible (eg. set a timeout of 120 sec). 2. If you get a GG res number but not sure what is the booking status, you should run a booking search request. 3. If there is a timeout or other unknown status, run an adv booking search req with booking details to locate if a booking was created on our side. 4. If the adv search did not locate the booking immediately, please try again after a minute. 5. If there was no booking found, the booking may be rejected (we would recommend sending an email to ops just in case). 6. If a booking is found, please update your system as needed. 7. If you want to cancel the booking once you have the res number, please make the request via the API. 8. If the cancellation returns an error, please send email to ops as the request was not accepted. If it returns RX, please send email to ops requesting to lift penalties due to timeout with the request - you should agree to this with your ops/sales team for proper handling. * In general, if your system stops before any of these steps, you should send email to ops immediately to help with cancellation as needed to avoid penalties.
